Wayfinders

Feb. 8-12

Last fall, Housing and Food Services installed Wayfinders in each of the towers. Wayfinders are huge touch flat screen TV with tons of information discussing different aspects of the university. Anyone can look up staff contact information to campus dining nutrition facts. It is an exciting way to connect with the students using new technology. Also, visitors can pull up a campus map or even useful information for signing up for housing.

Each month, we post pictures of current residence on the Wayfinder so students can associate themselves with part of housing and food services. I have been busy taking photos of residents in couch restaurants, cate center, study lounges and other high traffic areas around the residence halls. A waiver of consent form is given to each student photographed so we can legally use these photographs for housing and food services purposes.

Next time, I will definitely utilize some tutorials on taking photos for better results.
