new semester. New position!

The first week of the semester brought a world of changes: new schedule, new classes, new books and a new position as a PAID marketing and pr intern! After a semester as a junior intern, I am now officially working at a job where I'm utilizing my degree! I discovered the good news on January 22, 2010, my 22nd birthday. Applying and interviewing for a new position is always a learning experience, but fortunately I made the cut. It helped that I had the opportunity to get to know the staff and understand the department. Also, my one year milestone for working in H&F main office will be the last week in January. My work experience with H&F main office and intern office has been such a great experience due to the amazing staff!
In the intern office, I continued to work with InDesign to fix minor details on the Special Catering Fliers. I was assigned a new project for Food Services. I created a publication to inform customers of the Sandwich of the Day at Dot's Deli in Couch Restaurants. I complete the project at my office hours and during some spare time in the evenings. Lauren and Aaron both agreed it was ready to be submitted to the client. Unfortunately, the client does not always see eye to eye on the publications the department creates. Therefore, I recreated a new template that would stand out more for the deli. Aaron gave me some design advise that might be more appeal to the client. Once the new template was created, I customized 5 fliers for each sandwich of the day. It's important to be patient and satisfy the client while still using skills and techniques to reach the desired public.

Hours Worked: 15
